RADIUS
(Remote Authentication Dial-In User Service) - RADIUS is a client/server protocol and software that enables remote access
servers (RASs), to communicate with a central server to authenticate dial-in users and authorise their access to the network.
Resource

Router
A special-purpose hardware device, or PC, that handles the connection between 2 or more networks. Routers concentrate on looking at the destination addresses of the packets passing through them and deciding which route to send them on.
